Violent Crime Up in Gloucester

A major recent survey has shown that police figures indicate violent and sexual crime has risen by 16% in the last twelve months, with Gloucester one of the city’s worst affected.

Office for National Statistics (ONS) data reveals that recorded incidents of violence against the person has increased to 699,800, up from 604,100 similar incidents recorded twelve months ago. Their data also shows an increase of 31% in reported rapes in England and Wales, a new record high.
