Three security guards at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games have been sacked for taking a selfie with Olympic champion Usain Bolt.

The security guards were removed from their positions for taking mobile phone photographs with the Jamaican super-star.

Usain was training at the practice facility next to Hampden Park when the three security members approached him and asked for a photo opportunity.

The Olympic and world champion was happy to oblige but the organisers have confirmed the three guards have been removed from their duties at the venue.

The Security company involved confirmed that the three guards were removed after breaching conditions of their employment. The guards are still employed by the company but are no longer operating at the Commonwealth games.
