Glevum Security donated £100 in prizes to raise funds for Wentworth Court Care Home in December.
Wentworth Court opened in Cheltenham last May and specialises in supplying dementia nursing care. It offers both long term residential and nursing care and shorter term respite care.
Their Xmas Bazaar was organised by local staff and was well attended by residents, their friends and family and the local community. Stalls sold gifts and home baked cakes and Father Christmas took time out from his busy schedule to put in an appearance.
Kate Stevens, the manager of the home, said “we had a brilliant time at our Christmas event, and we raised £436 which will go towards providing extra trips and entertainments for our residents. I’d like to thank everyone who supported us, including Glevum Security for their generous prize.”
The donation was split into three prizes; £50 and two of £25. Mark Baker, a director of the company, found himself with a dilemma. “Having brought several raffle tickets I only went and won one of our own donated prizes £25”, he said, “so quite rightly I asked for a redraw.” Good man!
